Church Groups

Dorking United Reformed Church hold a range of events during the week.

Come and join us for bible study, toddler groups or pop in for a tea or coffee.


Oasis meets at 2:30pm in the Follett Hall on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
It provides an opportunity for  men and women to meet together for tea and a chat, and to take part in some quiet activities.

Mytime Plus meets from 7.00 to 8.30 on the fourth Monday of each month

The Prayer Life Group and the Community Life Group meet on the first and third Mondays of each month.

The Young Adults Life Group and the Rothes Road Life Group meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.


Tuesday Evenings are usually reserved for various study and discipleship courses.  Details of these can be found on the events page of our this website.

The Afternoon Life Group meets on the last Tuesday of each month.


Small Fry is our baby and toddler play group and meets during the school term in the Main Hall. It runs from 9.30am until 2.30 pm with an opportunity for those around at lunchtime to sit down together and enjoy whatever they have brought along for lunch in an indoor picnic.

Messy Church has activities, arts and crafts, and worship for all ages, followed by a hot meal, and meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 3.30 to 6.00 pm in the Main Hall.

Open Home meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 8pm at the home of a member.

My Time for Young Carers is for carers aged 8 to12, and meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 5.30pm to 7pm.  Older young carers move on to My Time Plus which takes place at Dorking URC from 7.00pm to 8.30pm on the fourth Monday of each month.

The Give and Take Life Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month


Open Doors – Coffee, or tea, and light snacks are served from 10.00 am in the Main Hall, followed by lunch at 12.00 noon. There is a moderate charge for the food and drink.

Creative Cuppa meets on the third Thursday of each month from 2.00 to 3.30pm, offering a selection of art and craft activities including knitting, crochet, card-making and drawing.  Those attending can also bring along their own projects and are welcome to show and share their particular skills.  The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and everyone is welcome from complete beginners to those experienced in their crafts.  Tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the £2.00 charge for each session, as is the advice of the volunteer helpers, and materials for most projects.

Conquest Art is a unique charity that provides art classes for people with disabilities. It meets from 2pm until 4pm in the Main Hall after Open Doors on most Thursdays, except the third week each month when Creative Cuppa takes place.  You can find out more about Conquest Art here: Conquest Art


Growing Together Gardening Club meets on various Saturday mornings from 8.30 to 10.30 bringing all-ages together to help maintain the church gardens and share an informal reflection over breakfast themed about ways we can glimpse God and grow to know him better through his created world growing around us.
