Holiday at Home is a joint venture between Dorking United Reformed Church, St Paul’s Church, Dorking Quakers and Dorking Christian Centre to provide a ‘Holiday at Home’ in Dorking for people who may not otherwise get away. It will run in the week prior to the August Bank Holiday from Mon 19th to Fri 23rd August.

The theme this year is “We are all going on a Summer Holiday” and will offer an exciting program of entertainments and activities, meals and excursions. Most talks and activities are free and are based at the Dorking URC with a two-course hot meal available every day at Dorking Christian Centre.  There are three exciting excursions planned to include a full day trip to the D-Day Museum and Overlord Embroideries at Southsea, a half day trip by mini bus to Leith Hill Place and for the less mobile, a half day luxury coach trip through the Surrey Hills.  Booking is required for the lunches and outings, and recommended for all the other activities to help with planning and avoid disappointment if individual events fill up.

A brochure with the full programme, detailed information and booking form can be downloaded from the links below.  They are also available in hard copy from Dorking URC, The Christian Centre and other participating organisations.

Any questions, please contact the Christian Centre 01306 886830, Mon- Fri 9.00am -2.30pm, or Chris Currie, Church Community Worker at Dorking URC on 0777 159 6654     chris.currie.dorkingurc@outlook.com
