Children and adult group activities at Dorking URC
We have a wide variety of groups on offer for all ages as we seek to share our facilities with the local community, uniformed organisations, and much more. Whether you’re looking for spiritual growth, social connection, or community service, there’s something for everyone.
Children and Young People
From toddlers to teenagers, we offer engaging activities that help young people grow in faith and friendship. Our programmes include creative worship, messy fun, youth activities, and support for young carers.
What we offer:
- Young Church for children’s own worship experience
- Messy Church with crafts, games and pasta
- Youth Group activities and snack teas
- Smallfry playgroup for babies and toddlers
- My Time support groups for young carers
Adults
Our adult groups provide opportunities for fellowship, service, and spiritual growth. From café volunteering to prayer groups, garden work to social activities, there are many ways to connect with others and serve the community.
What we offer:
- Open Doors TAG Café supporting young adults with learning difficulties
- Sow to Grow Group for gardening and conversation
- Prayer and reflection groups
- Social activities and coffee mornings
- Small discipleship groups meeting in homes and local venues
Uniformed Organisations
We’re proud to host Scout and Guide groups throughout the week, providing young people with adventure, skills, and character development in a supportive environment.
What we offer:
- Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Scout Troop
- Rainbow Guides, Brownie Guides, and Guide Company
- Explorer Scout Unit for older teenagers
- Weekly meetings during school terms in our halls
